I am so sick of blog themes. I just can’t find the perfect one, you know? And I sure don’t have the time to make my own right now. But this one is kind of cool. At least it involves a massive fiery blaze.
I don’t really have much to say today. Let’s see…

1) Getting up in the mornings to go to prayer from 7:00am – 8:00am (you should go! see ukcsf.org for details). I am not a morning person. Drag me through broken glass, throw me into a vat of salty water, then kick me in the face, but please don’t get me up before the sun. The early morning prayer has been awesome and I look forward to it, it’s just the “early morning” part that makes it harder, but it will be rewarding in the end.

2) Prayer in general: oftentimes lately I’ve found myself simply saying “Lord, teach me how to pray.” My mind wanders all over the place.

3) Learning to manage my time. This is especially important now that I want to start getting up at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning, as I have to begin getting to bed earlier, which requires completely revamping my schedule.

4) CSF. This one touches many bases. After managing my time better, I’ll be able to do more of the little (and big) projects around there that I want to accomplish. I’ll be able to keep the website more up-to-date, and integrate new things I want to add. I’ll be able to pursue using my passion and skill for writing there in some way (because God told me He’d like me to). Also, my vision before I leave CSF (whether that is at graduation or years afterwards) is to form a team of people (i.e. the “Media Team”) who will basically take over everything I do. This is one of those “you have to spend time to make time” things, as I’ll have to find people and train people before I can actually be more hands-off.
Current reasons for dancing, laughter, and other such expressions of joy:
2) God’s love.
STOP: did you read the last two? I mean, do you have goosebumps yet? Are you laughing, dancing, or at least grinning? Cause you flippin’ should be! This is the Lord of Glory we’re talking about people! Go check your pulse or something!
3) The things God is doing in CSF, Southland, Lexington, and Kentucky (not to mention everywhere else in the rest of the world). His Spirit is sweeping through campus and around the city, starting revival and stirring hearts. The stories are countless. The joy is abundant. I wish I could explain it to you.
And these are but the outer fringe of His works; how faint the whisper we hear of Him! Who then can understand the thunder of His power?
4) Sarah (c’mon, you people knew this was coming). I mean, where to begin? How can such beauty even be contained in one person’s soul? Maybe I need someone to pinch me or something.
5) CSF: the community, the fellowship, the laughter, the people, the opportunities, the fun, the discipleship, the growth, the blessings.
6) I woke up this morning! I mean, that’s great news, isn’t it!? No one is guaranteed tomorrow, after all.
(These are partial lists, obviously)
