The Free Mac Four Month Update

What is the cost of prescription viagra
This has been quite an incredible journey. When I originally posted details about my free Mac and the process of getting it, I had only done so because a) I’m a detailed guy and was keeping track anyway, and b) I knew two or three friends who would be interested in reading more. I underestimated. This month alone, around 3,200 individual people have visited my site (usually multiple times). And it’s only the 20th.
In the image to the right you can see my site’s traffic before and after the “free Mac effect.” I think you can figure out where that was. Phenomenal.

Now, unfortunately, NuiTech has expired both of the free MacBook Pro offers they were running. I would expect that with the business they were getting they’ll start another one soon enough, but I don’t know how they work. Update 2.26.07: A new link has been found. Enjoy.

For now, here are a few things of interest.

Alternative Mac Offers
Since NuiTech (the company I and many others have gotten our Macs from) isn’t currently running a deal for one, I searched Google for other companies running free MacBook Pro offers. I found these two links:

http://www.consumeroffersource.com/?as=29999&sel_card=13514

After a little research, it appears that neither of these offers is legitimate, so if you are searching Google and see these, don’t bother looking into these any further. Here is evidence against: consumer research corporation, consumer offer source.
I’ve been searching Google every day for a new MBP offer, and you can bet I’ll have a link here once a legitimate one shows up.

Counting the Macs…
If you’ve gotten your Mac or are working on one, leave a comment on the Counting the Macs… post with your name and location (city/state). I’d love to get a better idea of how many people have gotten one. I know it’s at least in the hundreds.

Taxes
Many people have been asking about tax info. As of today I still haven’t received a 1099 form from NuiTech, though they told me one was being sent. Once I find out how much I have to pay in taxes on my Mac I’ll let everyone know. If anyone else has already gotten their 1099, please leave a comment and let us know what NuiTech claimed as the value of your “gift” on the form.

More than just Macs
There’s a lot more than Macs that you can get for “free” if you look around, believe me. I received an iPod Shuffle a few days ago that I’ve fallen in love with, and I’ve gotten a book and some gift cards. I also have an iPod Nano, an Xbox 360, a $50 Visa, and an Apple AirPort Express all on the way.
I know what you’re thinking: where can I get more stuff?? I’ll post a lot more about that later.

I’ve also got a few other things up my sleeves, including one project that will make these free Internet offers a bit easier on everyone. Expect more on that in the coming weeks.

Oh, and found this one also.

It looks like there are a bunch popping up on the net. We need to find out if they are the real deal or not.

Josh- Do you pay based on bandwith used? If you do I bet there was some sticker shock at the end of December… Hope the google adds help make up for it, and yes look for my donation to ‘the cause’ when my tax refund rolls in.

Josh, can’t wait for another blog. Tell us your other tricks. By the way great site man, keep up the good work.

    Brian,
I’ve seen freemacbookpro.com. In fact, I’m working on getting one right now to sell…my girlfriend and I will hopefully be getting engaged in the fall, and an extra $2k would be extremely helpful in paying for a ring.
The difficult thing about the site is that you have to get referrals (you can’t do them all yourself). Also, if someone cancels an offer before getting credit you won’t get credit at all, so you have to wait it out for a bit.
If anyone would like to help me out by completing one offer (I need 20 people to do one offer each), then use the following link. It should say “You are being referred by Josh Clark” under the button. Thanks!

    I don’t know anything about free4me.

  7. Josh says:

    Matt S,
Not exactly. I pay for a certain amount each month and then I pay extra if it looks like I’ll go over that amount and have to add more (or else my site will just be down).
Recently I had to upgrade my hosting plan to one 3x as large in bandwidth, and even after that I’ve had to contact my hosting company to ask them to add a few more GB this month. I might have to add more before the month is up, in fact. It’s crazy.
Google ads help a bit, but only, well… I can’t say anymore, it’s against the policy.

  8. Josh says:

    Whitetyce,
    :)
I do have some things up my sleeve, but more tricks will come in time. Hopefully within about three to four weeks my next big project will be complete enough to “release.” I’m hoping to have a bunch of time on Spring Break in two weeks to work on it.

By the way, regarding your question on the other post. I did find the link to ipodsweepstakes.com and created an account. I began working to accumulate some points, but it’s a lot of work, for not much reward. It really depends on if you have time or not. I don’t.
Dennis (another frequent commenter) did get one through them. He wrote about his experience on his website.

  9. Matt S says:

If visitors do what I just did?

  10. Josh says:

    LOL.
Yes, Matt, if people do what you did, I get much more money.
Thanks. The amount I made today was like 5-6x normal. Still not a lot, but it is something, and it adds up. Which is awesome.

I’m not allowed to tell exactly how much I make, or other things, according to Google Adsense policy.

  11. Doug says:

Wow, I didn’t even know you had ads on here (Adblock Plus is soo wonderful).

Josh, you truly are the “Mac Daddy.”

  12. Steve says:

    Hey Guys!

This is my first post but I’ve been checking up on this site for some time now. I’m sending in my paper work today for the 37″ Plasma + XBox 360. As soon as I get my stuff and sell the XBox I’ll be dropping some donation on you Josh.

Anyway, I stumbled across this site the other day and it looks like a MacBook Pro offer from Nuitech. I’ll go ahead and post and if it’s not from Nuitech or there are other problems, you guys can critique it.

By the way Josh, I was very skeptical about all of this until I went to your links of interest page and saw the link to UK CSF. I am a UK grad and lived at the Wesley Foundation for 4 years (01-05), so when I saw the connection to CSF my trust in what you were saying went WAY UP. God Bless!

  13. Matt S says:

Steve- you just made alot of people very happy. Good find.

  14. Matt S says:

Actually, that is nuitech, but thats an older version of the mac. Now I’m confused.

  15. whitetyce says:

Hey Josh, did Steve find the link we have all been waiting for? Looks like a legit Nuitech. Now I’m torn between doing the 2k offer and the MBP? Maybe I’ll do them both and use my wifes idenity?

  16. Matt S says:

Whitetyce- Do the 2k offer, it is the same amount of credit requirments and you’ll get a better computer. The one steve listed is an older model mac.

  17. whitetyce says:

Ok, so this isin’t as good as a computer as other people have gotten?

  18. Steve says:

I thought that it seemed like an earlier model than the one Josh and others have described, but I still figured I would share it with everyone and let them decide.

  19. Steve says:

  20. whitetyce says:

Hey everyone, the ads that Josh has on the bottom of his page are AWESOME, I click on them all the time, sometimes over and over. I would recomend you all do the same. I never get tired of reading tax ads.

  21. Melanie says:

My husband wants to know if anyone has found an offer for an ultra portable computer.

Also, I stumbled on a link http://www.nationalgiftgroup.com that offers a $500 Southwest Airlines or Victoria’s Secret Gift Card. Don’t know anything else about it, but it looks alot like the way the mac nuitech site was set up.

  22. Melanie says:

I read the terms and conditions on the national gift group site. Here’s the rundown for getting the $500 gift cards…
    Two (2) offer from Premier Offers Group 1;
Two (2) offers from Premier Offers Group 2; and
Four (4) offers from Premier Offers Group 3
and (iv) submit your Gift Redemption Form within 60 days.

  23. Steve says:

Guys, I just found this thread on scam.com about where you find your Nuitech offers. If everyone else already knew this then I apologize, but you have to get your links through google, or else you run the risk of being DQ’ed. I found the above MBP offer from a different scam.com thread, not google. So PLEASE check this before you start.

  24. Josh says:

    Hey everyone,
I’m going to update the link and let everyone know there is a new MacBook Pro offer.
You have to remember that even though the page says it’s older, so did the link I originally posted. Everyone who used that (before it expired) got the newest MBP anyway.

    Whitetyce,
    Lol. Thanks.

  25. Josh says:

Also, Steve, it’s not true that you have to visit the links through Google. I’ve read it on the Scam.com forums. Plus, the hundreds (thousands?) of people who’ve signed up via the links on my site have all gotten their Macs. That, I think, is proof enough.

  26. Steve says:

Thanks for clearing that up Josh. I got to thinking about it later and realized that the link I used was not direct from Google, and in the terms and conditions there is nothing about that.

Glad to be of assistance in finding the link. This site has been alot of help to me!

  27. Ross says:

    Hey everyone,
I’m in the process of completing 18 offers for a 42″ plasma TV and needed to know if you can get a refund on a Vonage phone if you return it. If anyone can shed some light it would help. Thanks

  28. Jason says:

    Ross,
Dunno about your T&C’s, but I was charged $5.00 for cancelling.

Re: Columbia House DVD cancellation. Do you need to call them or email them or can you just write “Refused – Return to Sender” on the box? Is that all that’s necessary?
